RUN OVER BY OWN MACHINE
Submitted by
Peggy
A. Wells

Albert Malone cranked his automobile early this afternoon but
made the mistake of not being certain it was out of gear. The
machine was in reverse when Malone turned over the engine, it
started backwards and he was dragged half-way across the street
toward the McCoy Motor Company of 911 south Third street.
Malone fell clear of the car at midstreet but the automobile
kept going backwards, climbed the curbing and smashed in the McCoy
large plate glass window—a 12 by 9 pane in the main display room.
