GRANDMA FILLGROVE
QUIETLY CELEBRATES 80th BIRTHDAY

Mrs. Louise "Grandma" Fillgrove of 1201 North third street is today
celebrating her 80th anniversary. Born near Berlin, Germany Mrs.
Fillgrove came to America at the age of 10. For 56 years she and her
late husband, WILLIAM FILLGROVE, conducted a grocery store in this
city, and regardless of her advanced years Mrs. Fillgrove still greets
her many friends from behind the counter of the grocery.
She said this afternoon that she felt as hale and hearty as she did
many years ago. She was about her duties in the store as usual today
and was receiving the congratulations of her many friends. The
Tribune joins with them in wishing her many more happy birthdays.
