Thank You So Much, Norm!!!

Lawrence County Ohio Cemeteries - This index is hosted by Norm Nussbaum, and was taken from various tombstone readings.

Norm has kept this website online for us, maintaining and adding names for quite a number of years. Many volunteers helped with this project including, Matt Bice, Sara Bice, Linda Haney, Buddy Haney, Lowell Slimp, Martha Martin (Kounse), Sheri Pettit, and the late Julian Barnett.

If anyone's name is missed, please let us know so we can add it to our list. For additional information please contact Martha J. Martin at: lawrenceregister@lawrencecountyohio.com.

Submitted by rikfishrman on Sat, 06/12/2010 - 9:04pm.

Looking for information Great Grandfather Samuel L. Gibson.  He lived in Ironton from early 1860's to late 1880's.  A Wm. and Dorcas Gibson lived in Ironton at same time Trying to connect the two Gibson Families. Wm. and Dorcas had a son Samuel but I have no possitive evidence he is my Great grandfather Samuel l.  They also had daughter Clara who married Adam Owrey who was one of the founders of Belfont Iron Works in 1863. I would like help with any information on this Gibson family.    Rick

Submitted by silverstreakn2 on Wed, 06/02/2010 - 11:57pm.

I have a Mary Jane Davis born Nov 9 1834 who died Dec 5, 2911 at age 77 years.  Born in WVA.  Father Elexandra Mann.  The death certificate states she was burried in Greenlawn cemetary.  Is there such a place in Portsmouth?           Carole           cep2@cox.net

There is a Robert Lewis

Submitted by SLewis on Sun, 12/27/2009 - 12:22am.

There is a Robert Lewis buried in the Henry's cemetary. My husbands grandfather. We sent for his death certificate and found he was buried on May 11, 1909. He passed away at the infirmary there in Ironton May 9, 1909. He died of consumption. There is also a Henry Bundy that was buried there in Henry's cemetary but don't know the details on his. Thanks Sharon Lewis
