History of St. Joseph Church 1864 - 1964

Germans were to be found in most of the
counties in the State of Ohio by 1810/ Some of them came directly from
Germany, but the majority were from German-speaking communities in Pennsylvania
and other parts of the east. Knowledge of these early Germans comes mostly
from the reports of Lutheran ministers who made valiant, but discouraging
efforts to keep the knowledge of Christ alive among them.
