Friley's in the Civil War

William A. Friley 56th Ohio Infantry company B, which represented the country around the furnaces in Lawrence Co. Enlisted Feb. 1862 at Portsmouth for 3 yrs. Killed in action at Port Gibson, Mississippi May 1, 1863. Was the only fatality that day according to the History of the Hanging Rock Region.
Timothy Friley 173 rd Ohio Infantry enlisted Ironton, Ohio May 26, 1864
James K.P. Friley 173 rd Ohio Infantry enlisted Ironton, Ohio Aug. 26th 1864 for 1 yr.
This information taken from Civil War records. These are the sons of Richard and Margaret Friley who lived in Aid. Ohio.
