William A. Friley 56th Ohio Infantry company B, which
represented the country around the furnaces in Lawrence Co.
Enlisted Feb. 1862 at Portsmouth for 3 yrs. Killed in action
at Port Gibson, Mississippi May 1, 1863. Was the only fatality
that day according to the History of the Hanging Rock Region.

26, 1864

Aug. 26th 1864 for 1 yr.
