WALLER BROTHERS IN THE CIVIL WAR
Submitted by Jennifer Waller

William G. Waller enlisted in Ironton Dec. 1861, co. D, 9th W.Va. V.I.; promoted corporal; gunshot wound in left thigh at Cloyd Mt.; captured there; held 4 months and 3 days in rebel hospital at Emery and Henry College, Va. 
paroled; detained on prov. guard at Gallipolis 4 months; vet Jan. 1864.  service in co.A 1st. W. Va.V. V. I.; discharged at Baltimore, fall of 1865. disab; mem. Waller post. He came to Lawrence Co. in 1832.


Coleman Brooks Baker Waller enlisted at Ceredo W.Va.  Sept. 1861 co.K, 5thW.
Va. V. I.  2 weeks in hospital at Ceredo, measles; promoted to orderly  sergeant for bravery; killed at Lynchburg Va. June 18, 1864 at age 32. ]They were brothers.
