COUNTERFEITER'S ARREST DUE TO PRETTY GIRL

, O., Jan. 21-Pretty Nellie Gillen, a clerk in a store at Ironton,
O., is a heroine in the eyes of the people of her city. It was due
to her shrewdness and prompt action that Lewis White, a mysterious
counterfeiter, was captured. The man has had his preliminary trial
and was bound over to the Grand Jury. In default of $300 bail, he
was sent to the
Troy
jail, where he will remain until the spring, when he will be brought
to this city for trail. Secret Service Agent Michael Bolan returned
from Ironton today after having arranged the preliminary work in the
case.
White's home is in

, His gang was making bogus dollars on its shanty boat. They were
using plaster of paris molds and had quite a stock when the
Government got after them. The others escaped.
