Kouns Reunion

Family Gathering - On the 20th inst., there was collected at the residence of Samuel Crawford, Fayette township, in this county, eight sisters - daughters of the late George Kouns - together with their mother and a large number of relations and friends.  Mother Kouns is eighty-five years old; Mother Wilson, who was present, is eighty-six years old.  Of the sisters, the oldest is sixty-four, the youngest forty-four years of age.  Four of them live in the vicinity, two in Catlettsburg, Ky., one in Kenton, Hardin county, Ohio, and the other near Ravenswood, Jackson county, West Va.  Those eight sisters represent sixty-three children and fifty grandchildren.  Such a meeting is of rare occurrence in this county.  The day was fine, and the company enjoyed themselves very pleasantly until late in the evening, when most of them dispersed to their homes.
