This book has been ten years in the making. I have painstakingly read page by page of the original microfilmed record of the Lawrence County, Ohio Children's Home Register. Many times I proofed the names, dates, and places for accuracy. Lots of other sources were researched to add more in-depth information about the children and their families.

You will find very important and rare genealogical information not found anywhere in other documents. That information includes adoptions, deaths in hospitals in other counties, burials, death and birth dates (and places) of parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. In some cases it gives the maiden name of mother and illegitimate children's parents.
