Hanging Rock Cemetery

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly versionCould someone please tell me what happened to the Hanging Rock Cemetery? I was told that there are people living in it. If this is true, were the bodies moved? or are they living on top of the graves? I have a grandmother and a great-grandmother there and I was just wandering. Thank you.

I have lots of family buried in the Hanging Rock Cemetery.
I have been there a lot thru the years & I have never seen anyone living in the cemetery. Last time I was there the Township was there clearing & cleaning the cemetery.

The cemetery still exists.

The Rodgers graves were moved

The wife of James Rodgers (d 1860), Matilda, purchased 850 square feet in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati. There are 14 Rodgers (re)buried there from Hanging Rock, including James and Matilda.
