Where are the original birth records
Printer-friendly versionThe original Lawrence County Ohio Record of Birth Books are housed at the Alden Library Ohio University, Athens Ohio.
If you want to see the original books at Athens, please call ahead and make an apt. You will find their phone number on their website.
They are NOT at the Lawrence County, Ohio courthouse in Ironton, Ohio.
To obtain copies, you will have to hire a paid researcher or visit one of the locations that have the microfilmed copies.
