What is a Gedcom File?

Most family tree programs, i.e., Family Tree Maker, Personal Ancestry Files, etc. have the capability to create a gedcom file. Use your HELP button on your program and enter Gedcom on the search index for instructions on creating the file.

The gedcom file pulls all your names into the gedcom format for uploading to any site that can accomodate gedcom files: i.e., Ancestry.com.

Please save your gedcom in GEDCOM (standard 5.5 format) in order for us to upload it to the sister-site.

Once you have created your gedcom file you can email it to skouns7@aol.com Please make sure you give the Tree a name.
