Mrs. Henry Doerr aged 54, One of the best
known ladies of the South Side passed away at her home on
Fourth street and Ellison avenue this morning at 10:30
o'clock after an illness of some time, due to pneumonia.
Mrs. Ellison had been critically ill for several days, and
her family
were at her bedside when the last summons came.
Mrs. Doerr had been for many years a resident of Ironton
and was a faithful member of the Pine Street M.E. church
in which she took an active part. She was universally
respected and loved by all who her and the news of her
passing was heard with regret by the South Side residents
today.
Besides her husband she is survived by the following
children, Mrs. Charles Beam of Ashland, Ky. Mrs. T.C.
Murry of Cincinnati, Carl Doerr of Fort Worth, Texas and
Mrs. Edward Rambacher, Mrs. H. H. Keys and Mrs. Charles
Ruggles of Ironton.
The funeral which will be under the
direction of Bingaman & Jones has not yet been arranged
for, but will be announced later.

Pneumonia Claimed Mrs. Henry Doerr Monday
As a terrible shock came the news Monday of the death of
Mrs. Henry Doerr, age 54, of Fourth and Ellison avenue,
and one of the most prominent and best known residents of
the city.
Pneumonia was the cause of the death and
the decedent battled bravely and well against the ravages
of the dread disease but all that medical science could do
was unable to stay the inevitable. Gently and peacefully
she closed her eyes at about 10:30 o'clock Monday morning
for her long journey down the Valley of Shadows unto peace
eternal. She had resided in the Southside for many years
and her every acquaintance was a friend. She was a devoted
member of Pine Street M.E. church and was ever active in
church affairs.
The funeral arrangements are in charge of Bingaman and
Jones and will be announced later. Besides her husband she
is survived by the following children: Mrs. Chas. Beam of
Ashland, Ky. Mrs. T.C. Murry of Cincinnati, Carl Doerr, of
Ft. Worth, Tex., and Mrs. Edward Rambacher, Mrs. H.H. Keys
and Mrs. Chas. Ruggles of Ironton.

Paid Tribute to Mrs. Doerr
Rev. Thomas of Pine Street M.E. church, paid a high
tribute of respect to Mrs. Henry Doerr, one of the South
Side's most prominent ladies, who was laid to rest
Thursday, after funeral services at the Pine Street
church. The services were attended by the Ladies Bible
Class of the church, of which the deceased was a member.
Interment in Woodland cemetery, under direction of
Bingaman and Jones.
The floral tributes were profuse and the church was
crowded with friends and relatives of the deceased.

Ladies Bible class are requested to meet at the home of
Miss Cynthia Stewart Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock
to attend the funeral of Mrs. Henry Doerr to be held at
Pine Street M.E. church at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
The ladies will attend as an
organization, the deceased a most excellent lady, having
been a member of this class.
