BURLINGTON ACADEMY -
(advertisement) - I. R. September 22, 1853 - The Trustees of
this institution take pleasure in announcing to the public
that they have fitted up ample, commodious and pleasant rooms
for the use of the school, and have secured the services of J.
S. Whitney, an experienced and accomplished teacher and
principal.
Instruction
will be given in all branches of education usually taught in
academies.
The fall term
of the school will commence on Monday the 3d of October next.
TERMS - $3 per
quarter for the common branches; $4 for the more advanced, and
$5 for the languages and higher mathematics.
Good board can
be had in the village at reasonable prices.
