The following instrument of writing
purporting to the Last Will & Testament of Thomas
Freeman, late of Upper Township, in this county,
deceased, was produced in open court and filed December
12, 1922 towit:
Last Will and Testament
In the name of the Benevolent
Father of all, Amen
I, Thomas Freeman, of the City of
Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio, being of sound and
disposing mind and memory, do MAKE, PUBLISH AND DECLARE
THIS MY LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT: hereby revoking void
all former wills by me made.
First, it is my will that all my just
debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my estate as
soon as convenient after my decease.
Second, I give, devise and bequeath to
my wife, Anna M. Freeman, all my estate both personal
and real to have and to hold in fee simple.
In testimony whereof, I have set my hand
to this, my last will and testament at Ironton, Ohio,
this 23rd day of October, in the year of my Lord, One
Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty-two.

The foregoing instrument was signed by
said Thomas Freeman, in our presence and by his
published and declared as and for his last will and
testament, and at his request and in his presence and in
the presence of each other we hereunto subscribe our
name as attesting witnesses at Ironton, Ohio, this 23rd
day of October A.D., 1922

H.M. Edwards resides at Ironton, Ohio
Application for Probate to Will was made
and filed December 12, 1922 towit:
Probate Court of Lawrence County,
Ohio
To the Probate Court of said County:
Your petitioner respectively represents
that Thomas Freeman, late a resident of the Township of
Upper in said County, died on or about the 5th. Day of
December A.D. 1922; leaving an instrument in writing,
herewith produced purporting to be his Last Will and
Testament; that the said Thomas Freeman died leaving
Anna Marguret Freeman his widow who resides at Ironton,
Ohio and the following named persons his only next of
kin, towit:

Elizabeth Freeman 28 Daughter Ironton,
Ohio
Anna Geswine 26 Daughter Ironton, Ohio
Elsie Geswein 22 Daughter Ironton, Ohio
Bess Dudley 24 Daughter Ironton, Ohio
Anna M. Freeman 60 Wife Ironton, Ohio
Your petitioner offers said Will for Probate and prays
that a time may be fixed for the proving of the same,
and that said above named persons resident in this State
may be notified according to law of the pungency of said
proceedings.

The above name H.M. Edwards being first
duly sworn, says that the facts and allegations in the
foregoing application contained are true, as he verily
believes.

This day as instrument of writing
purporting to be the last will and testament of Thomas
Freeman, late of Upper Township, in this county,
deceased was produced in open court and it is now
ordered that said will be filed in this court and that
due notice of the filing and of the application to admit
the same to Probate and Record be given to the widow and
all the next of kin of the testator resident of the
State of Ohio, and that said application will be for
hearing before the court on the 14th day of December,
1922.

The State of Ohio, Lawrence County
Personally appeared in open court E.L. Riley and H.M.
Edwards, who being first duly sworn to testify the
truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, in
relation to the executives of the Last Will and
Testament of Thomas Freeman deceased, depose and say;
that they were present at the execution of the
instrument of writing now before them bearing date of
the 23rd day of October, 1922. Application to admit the
same to Probate and Record be given to the widow and all
the rest of kin of the testator resident of the State of
Ohio, and that said application will be for hearing
before the court on the 14th day of December, 1922.
